Food Radar Sensor Unit
Food Radar Sensor Unit
Microwave inspection for pumpable foods
The Food Radar sensor measures dielectric differences in flowing food using low-power microwaves. It supports detection of foreign bodies, including challenging low-density materials, as part of the complete Food Radar inspection system.
Discuss your product and target contaminants with Safe Automations. Suitability and detection performance must be established through application testing.
Applications
Applications for pumpable foods
Food Radar is used in pipelines carrying food products, including products with pieces where straining may be unsuitable.
- Tomato products: diced or crushed tomatoes and paste.
- Sauces and soups: salsas, dressings and pesto.
- Fruit products: jams, marmalades, dairy preparations and bakery fillings.
- Vegetable processing: diced onion, chilli and peppers.
- Baby food: pumpable preparations, subject to application assessment.
HAFI
HAFI makes fruit-based products including jams, marmalades, chutneys and sauces. HAFI tested Food Radar to address low-density contaminants in products made without sieves.
Discuss Your Application
Share your product type, flow rate, pipeline size, temperature, product-piece size and the contaminants you need to detect. Include your cleaning requirements and available installation space so we can arrange a technical review.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which foreign bodies can be evaluated?
Food Radar identifies soft and hard plastics, rubber, wood and fruit stones among its target materials. Detection capability must be validated with your actual product and representative contaminants.
Does it replace metal detection or X-ray inspection?
The manufacturer describes Food Radar as complementary to existing inspection technologies. The appropriate combination depends on your contamination risks and production process.
Can we test our product?
Request an application assessment to discuss a manufacturer Proof of Concept study before selecting the system.
